The GX300 is waterproof, has a large backlit LCD display, full channel scan, dual watch function, full function microphone and can either be bracket or flush mounted.

Based on the same platform as the GX600 above, the 600D is equiped with a full function keypad microphone with an extremely simple ‘mobile phone style’ operating system, the GX600D ensures that operators of every skill level can access the full benefit of the radio’s extensive feature list.The GME GX600D however, goes well beyond this basic safety requirement and when interfaced with a GPS receiver will be able to transmit crucial vessel information, including position and the nature of the distress call whether it be fire, flooding, collision, grounding, capsize, sinking, adrift, abandoning, piracy or man overboard. In an emergency, one push of the ‘red button’ will send an automated digital distress alert containing your position and Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI) number to rescue facilities and other DSC-equipped vessels within the area.

TV antennas are very directional and give the best reception when aimed directly towards the transmitter site. This can easily be achieved when mounted on a fixed site like a house. But when installed on a boat anchored to a swing mooring the constant motion often results in a conversant fluctuation in picture quality. The AE2000 is designed to be non-directional by using a unique three element broadband clover leaf antenna and will continue to give good reception regardless of any movement.A digital ready 20 dB gain low noise amplifier gives the best possible reception of weak signals across all the television and FM radio bands. The end result is a radical new design concept that is not only a significant improvement on existing beacon performance, but dramatically slashes the cost of 406 MHz EPIRB ownership.Advantages of a 406 MHZ EPIRB over the older analogue EPIRBs include world wide coverage, position location accuracy to within 5 kms and a more stable transmitted signal resulting in faster response time. Once it has been removed from its mounting bracket, the MT401 will activate automatically on immersion in water.
