If you have left your boat in the water for a few days and it has a brown stain on the bottom that you can't wash off then Gelcoat Restorer is what you need. It's also great for removing any rust stains. Designed for doing large areas, it is strong hydrochloric acid based product so you need to be careful where you use it and where the run off will wash away to. Make sure you test it first on any coloured sections of the hull and don't use on any metal components.

Starbrite Ultimate Stain remover is very similar to the Ronstan Gelcoat restorer except it is a gel formula and you don't dilute it. You should use gloves when you use this one as it contains olaxic acid. As always, test on an inconspicuous area to test colour fastness, but it's great for removing stubborn stains from your fibreglass hull including that brown water stain. As it comes in a gel formula it will stick to vertical surfaces so can be sprayed on the underside of your hull whilst it's still on the trailer.

Ronstan Boatsmart Extracut Polish

Boatsmart Extracut polish has all the same properties as the superfine above however it has courser abrasive and really cuts out heavy oxidisation and scratches. For best results wet sand out any deep scratches and then use Extracut with a buffer. You will need to go over with Superfine to remove any swirl marks from the Extracut. Comes in a 500g tub which is easily enough to do a 20ft trailerboat one or two times.

We use it for sealing anything that needs to be watertight like windows, skin fitting, transducers and most importantly engine mounting bolts. It sticks to anything and can be overpainted.
