Quick Connect STANDARD Steering Kits - 3 Turn

Manufactured by Seastar, these Quick Connect STANDARD kits are a quality product and are used all the time in our workshops. Trying to match up and replace old steering cables from brands that are no longer available is a real hassle so with these kits it is quicker, cheaper and easier to just replace the whole lot. All you do is reuse your steering wheel. Like any mechanical steering system they are designed for all engines up to and including V4 models. They are 3 turn lock to lock and everything in the picture is supplied. All you need to do is choose your cable length. Note: Most older cables have the length stamped in the outer plastic cover towarads the helm end of the cable. When measuring your old cable you measure from the large alloy nut that screws on to the engine tilt tube to where the inner cable starts to come out of the outer cable plus 450mm. See 2nd picture for instructions.

Steering Wheel Speed Control Knob - 2 Styles

Available as either a clamp on or bolt on version, made from 316 grade stainless steel, these steering swivel can be used on both hydraulic and normal mechanical steering systems and alloys for faster and easier steering control at the wheel. A lot of brand new outboards these days have inbuilt hydraulic steering so on all our new boat fit-ups, whilst we use the helm and lines that come in the new boat, we end up with a lot of left over brand new bullshorn rams. If you do your homework you will see its cheaper to buy one of our leftover rams than even putting a seal kit in your existing old one.
The UC95-OBF1 front mount cylinder is recommended for use with outboard engines up to 175hp total and where the boat speed does not exceed 80 kph. It will fit most engines including Yamaha, Evinrude, Honda, Johnson, Mercury, Mariner, Suzuki and Tohatsu. You will need to do your own homework however. This is the standard OBF1 cylinder that is used on the very common Ultraflex HyTech 175hp Hydraulic Steering Kit. This one comes with the common flat linking arm however if yours is slightly bent or offset you can just re-use it.
