A boatie from the beginning: Meet Michael, our newest sales consultant
At Hunts Marine, our team are great because they love what they do. We caught up with Michael, our newest sales consultant, to find out more about his passion for boating and why he enjoys being part of the crew.

Boating in the blood
Michael told us how his devotion to boats started at a young age.
"I've grown up with boats. I used to come into Hunts Marine as a baby, stopping every time we drove past to have a look at the boats. I was water skiing at three and a half years old."
He explained that it all started with a Cruise Craft. "Cruise Crafts are great, they're a solid boat. I grew up with a laser, which is a good all-rounder, so I could go skiiing in the morning and fishing in the afternoon. It's great as a leisure craft, perfect for just getting out and enjoying the water."
"It was a great all-purpose bowrider boat."
However, an upgrade to a Quintrex could be on the horizon. "I'd like to upgrade to another bowrider of some sort or a half-cabin fishing boat. I love the new Frontier range with the apex hull, Quintrex's newest hull design."
Building a career with boats
Eventually, Michael's passion for watercraft led him to his current role at Hunts Marine. "I wanted a change and I thought Hunts Marine would be a good place to work. There was a position available in accessories, so that was where I started. Every day I get to work with boats and good people, so I couldn't be happier!"
"I'm a sales consultant so I meet the customers and help them find the right boat for them and their family, assist them through the sale, deliver the boat, and follow up afterward."
He explained that exceptional service is what makes Hunts Marine stand out. "Everyone on the team here, we like to get to know the customer personally and really help them find exactly what it is they want. With the variety of boats we stock, and our help, it's easy to find the ideal match for you."
The service doesn't end once customers leave the showroom. "We follow each customer up ourselves, a week after the delivery process, and we make sure everything is going well with them and the boat," Michael said.
Michael also offers some advice for people shopping for a new boat: "Take your time in finding the right boat for yourself and what suits you best."
